A bellissima day
On April 12, La Chassagnette welcomes Vin des Potes, the collective founded by Basile Passe. For ten years now, this passionate sommelier has brought together winemakers to create wines born from a true dialogue with the vine and its terroir.
Stefano Amerighi, from Tuscany, has been cultivating Syrah for over twenty years at Poggiobello di Farneta. With rigorous biodynamic practices, precise gestures, and a constant smile, he is both curious and deeply committed. He has also revived a forgotten terroir of Pecorino in the Marche region—a delicate, luminous white that reflects his devotion to rare varieties and the memory of the land. Stefano has been coming to La Chassagnette for years and always loves returning. This year, he celebrates his 20th vintage, just as Armand Arnal celebrates his 20th season at La Chassagnette.
Calogero Caruana, formerly Stefano’s right-hand man, now works in western Sicily, just two kilometers from the sea, above the Torre Salsa nature reserve. He grows indigenous grape varieties—Nzolia, Catarratto, and Nero d’Avola—on silty-sandy soils over limestone, bathed in sunshine and brushed by sea breezes.
PROGRAM:
- • 11:30 a.m.: Masterclass with Stefano, Calogero, and Basile: a guided exploration of the wines.
- • 1:30 p.m.: Four-course lunch with wine pairings, created with Basile and our sommeliers: four dialogues between glass and plate.
A day to understand living wine, to taste Italy’s hidden world of rare grape varieties, and to raise a glass to friendship and shared passion.
Bellissima, davvero.
